Permanent Roofline Lighting for Park City Homes
Park City is a mountain town with a ski-season calendar. A permanent roofline gives chalets, Old Town cottages, and Deer Valley homes light through the dark months without anyone climbing up to hang it.
Mountain Town Context
A Different Place Than the Valley Floor
Park City is inside our service area, about 30 miles from Salt Lake City, and we install permanent lighting here. It is a different setting from the valley, with ski resorts on the edge of town, homes built into hillsides, and a winter that is the main event rather than something to get through. That context shapes how we plan a roofline.
Park City homes range from compact Old Town cottages on steep streets to large mountain homes with multi-gable roofs and deep overhangs. A steep street and a steep roof are a hard combination for hanging holiday strings by hand. A professional install means nobody has to stand on a snowy roof edge, and the system is there when ski season arrives.
Snow, Ice, and the Free Design Consult
What We Can Say, and What We Check in Person
The track is sealed, anti-UV, and mounts flush along the roofline. For snow and ice specifics on your particular roof, we check it in person at the free design consult rather than promise anything from a distance. Tell us about any snow guards or heat cable then. Our guide on how permanent lights handle Utah snow and ice explains the approach in plain terms.
HOA and Design Review
Check Your Design Review First
If you have an HOA or design review, check its rules first. The track is low-profile and color-matched to your trim, so by day it blends into the fascia, and we can provide install details for a review request. With a warm white scene in the app, you can run something understated most nights and save color for special occasions.
Long Winters, Dark Early
Light for the Ski Season
Mountain evenings get dark early in winter, and a house with its roofline lit on a schedule welcomes guests after a day on the slopes. An app-controlled schedule means the lights are on without anyone needing to be there. Use a warm white for ordinary nights, bright white for a clear, secure approach, and full color for the holidays.
Occasions
Holidays, Game Nights, and Summer Evenings
December is the obvious season, but a mountain town has summer evenings too, and Pioneer Day on July 24 is a Utah holiday worth lighting red, white, and blue. Jazz, Mammoth, Utes, and Cougars scenes are one tap away. See the holiday lighting page and the game day lighting page.
If you are away, you can adjust schedules from anywhere you have your phone, so the house looks lived in on arrival day without anyone flipping a switch. The same scheduling keeps the exterior lit on your terms, whether that means warm white every evening or a bright white security setting.
